My goal for the next tourney.
I plan on winning one game.
I will not go 0-3. I will be more than happy with 1-2. :)
I will be a good sport, but I will not be so much of a "nice guy"
I will call my opponent on it when he/she is not playing by the rules of the tournament.
I will bring over the TO in the event my opponent continues to bend/skirt around the rules of thr tourney.
I will win at least one game.
I need to come up with a second list.

I take it this means you have a tourney coming up? We haven't had one locally since Sept and I'm kind of itching for one.
There was one on 1/17 at one local store (Sunshine Adventure Gaming). Another store (Silver Dragon Square) has one on 2/21 and possibly another at Sunshine in Feb.
Thankfully our friendly neighborhood Press Ganger is all about running tourneys and getting WM/H exposure.
I played a Tourney in November last year and went 0-3 as well. Also I kept my mouth closed as rules were bent and so when rules were broken in my last game I didn't even argue.
@ Steve - Exactly. My first two games went well. I don't mind losing fairly, especially when I can learn something about my playing that I can change. But my final game I played the guy who originally turned me off the game (I thought if all players of WM/H are like this guy, I'll stick to GW games). Anyhoo, I allowed one rules "bend" but when he "bent" the rules the second time I shut down and conceded the game. The TO heard me pissing and moaning and told me the next time anything like *either* offenses happened again to call him over and he'd handle it. That's my plan in the next tourney, we'll see how it works.
It's unfortunate that people try to take a game that should be played for fun and try to bend the rules. I'm all for competitive play, but if I win I want to know I did it by the rules.
I hope you win a game, and I hope no one tries any angle shooting on you with the rules. The nice thing is if you play against the same people long enough they'll learn that you won't tolerate that kind of play and they'll stop. Plus the TOs typically know the players who are guilty of that kind of stuff.
Well, you won't win against me!!! Grim is going down faster than a 5 dollar whore!!!
Seriously though, you need to challenge those people. The only problem is time is running out. I remember Mario said something about time running out on him in a game because his opponent knew none of the rules and he had to keep challenging.
Ray the best thing you can do is learn the rules. That way you know when to say when! Lol, sounds like a drinking commercial!
